Wendi Roberson
Head Coach

Wendi has co-coached the DCHS Co-ed Basketball Squad from 2009-2013. The squad has competed for three years.  During the 2011-2012 season, the squad placed first at the 2011-2012 Mid-South Regional UCA Cheer Competition, first at the 2011-2012 TSSAA State Cheerleading Competition, the finished third at the UCA Nationals in the Super Varsity Co-ed Division. DUring the 2012-2013 season, the squad placed second at the 2012-2013 Mid-South Regional UCA Cheer Competition, first at the 2012-2013 TSSAA State Cheerleading Competition, were crowned Super Varsity Coed National Champions at the UCA National Cheerleading Competition.  The DCHS Co-ed Basketball Cheer Squad had 5 co-ed couples place in the Top 10 at the UCA National Partner Stunt Competition this year.  One couple placed second at the UCA World’s Partner Stunt Competition this year.  The squad also won the TSSAA Sportsmanship Award for the 2012-2013 AAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.     

The DCHS Co-ed Basketball Cheerleading program has signed 16 seniors to college scholarships in cheerleading over the past 4 years; 10 of those were to Division I Universities. 

Wendi received her Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting from Bethel University in McKenzie, TN, her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Bethel University.  Wendi taught 8th grade math at Three Oaks Middle School for 4 years and now is currently teaching Algebra 1 at Dyer County High School.  This is her fifth year at DCHS.  She was named Teacher of the Year in 2011 and again in 2013.  Wendi is married to Randy Shane Roberson and they have two daughters, Addie Lynn and Averi.
