Congratulations to the track team on their wins last night at the Twilight Relays. 4 by 1 mile relay, the 4 x 800 relay, and the Distance Medley Relay team of Madi Ray, Kady Beth Leake, Lilly Torrence, and Anna Claire Lusk were overall champions.
Attention Freshmen: Dyer County Youth Leadership applications are available in Guidance. Completed applications are due no later than Monday, May 1st.
Seniors: Please make sure to turn in your scholarship award letters and the Honors Day Recognition form to Mrs. Jennifer Ray ASAP. Honors Day is just around the corner and she must have this information for you get recognized!!!
All seniors need to turn in your library books by today! Debt sheets will be turned in to Mrs. Amanda as well. This includes all books used for research papers and classroom sets.
TN Ready testing:
- Algebra I, II, Geometry will test on April 26th, 27th, & 28th.
- Chemistry will test on May 1st.
- Biology will test on May 2nd.
There will be a mandatory FCCLA meeting Thursday, Aoril 27th in room 3011 during 1st break. Reservations and info for the FCCLA Banquet will be discussed.
Any student interested in being a part of the DCHS percussion for next school year, auditions are this week after school from 3:30-5:00 in the band room. All students are welcome.
If any 10th or 11th grade student plans on taking any DSCC Dual Enrollment courses for next school year, please come to room 3012 to get an application from Mrs. McCall.
Sophomore class t-shirts are on sale! Students may pick up a form in the front office and return it with money by Friday, April 28th. All funds raised will go to the class of 2019 budget for class activities.
Prom tickets are on sale in the concession stand for $25 per ticket. This year, each ticket comes with a keychain frame as a keepsake. Tickets are only sold during lunchtime, not at breaks. If you want to be in the Promenade, please sign up in the concession stand during lunch. We’ll need to know your parent or guardian information, your prom ticket number & grade in school.
Color Guard Auditions will be held April 24th through April 28th from 3:30 to 5:30 in the DCHS Band Room. Please wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes.
If you signed up to help Mrs. Jones make food for prom, please stay until 5:30 in Mrs. King’s room, room 3011.
DCHS is offering before and after school remediation and enrichment. Facilitators will be available in the library on Monday through Friday mornings, beginning at 7:10 AM; Monday-Thursday in the afternoon, from 3:10 PM- 4:00 PM. Instruction will be available for school work/ study groups/ ACT prep. This opportunity is available for all students at no charge, there is no need to sign up, and students can simply show up ready to work.
