Dyer County High School students recently represented the district at the Tennessee YMCA Youth in Government Conference, the largest conference in its history. Six delegates drafted and presented original legislation, participated in chamber debates, and responded to questions from peers across the state.
A third of their bills advanced to the official docket, several students were recognized on the Hot List for their preparation and performance, and one delegate earned the prestigious Outstanding Statesperson Award.
