Dyer County High School senior Rachel Ross has been named a Semifinalist in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program, a prestigious academic recognition earned by less than 1% of U.S. high school seniors!
More than 1.2 million students entered the competition by taking the 2025 PSAT/NMSQT, with just over 16,000 students nationwide earning Semifinalist recognition. Rachel now has the opportunity to advance to Finalist standing and compete for one of approximately 6,700 National Merit Scholarships, collectively worth nearly $24 million.
