Dyer County High School STEM students recently put their creativity and problem-solving skills to work by developing solutions to assist individuals with grip myotonia, a condition that makes it difficult for hand muscles to relax after gripping an object.
Students researched the condition and designed their own approaches to the challenge, ranging from hand and wrist assistive devices to medical-based concepts. Each student presented their proposed solution, explaining the design process, functionality, and reasoning behind their ideas.
The project provided students with an opportunity to apply STEM concepts to real-world challenges while demonstrating creativity, critical thinking, and innovation!
