Dyer County High School Art Club students Jayliana Mason, Cindy Barreto, and Tyson Godwin earned first place in this year's Homecoming cowbell design competition with their creative Choctaw-themed design!
As part of Homecoming festivities, DCHS clubs and organizations decorated cowbells that were auctioned during the Homecoming football game to benefit Paws to Care, a Dyersburg nonprofit dedicated to animal welfare and rescue.
The Art Club's winning cowbell received the second-highest bid of the auction and was purchased by Paul Flowers for $75. The design also featured a unique touch: real peacock feathers from Art Club sponsor and teacher Mrs. Marjie Sanderson's peacocks!
Congratulations to Jayliana, Cindy, and Tyson for showcasing their artistic talents, Choctaw pride, and support for a great cause!
