Dyer County High School HOSA students recently attended the State Leadership Conference in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where they joined more than 400 future health professionals from across the state. Hosted by Tennessee HOSA, the conference provided students with opportunities to compete in healthcare-related events, participate in leadership workshops, explore college and career pathways, and further develop their skills in the medical field.
DCHS students delivered an outstanding performance in competition:

3rd Place: Karlie Shelton – Physical Therapy
3rd Place: Lily Flagg & Lynlee Young – MRC Partnership

In addition to these accomplishments, DCHS proudly celebrates Rhett Morris, who was elected to serve on the Tennessee HOSA State Officer Board as West Tennessee Vice President. Selected through a competitive process that included applications, interviews, and leadership evaluations, Rhett was chosen by his peers from across the state, standing out among 22 applicants for his dedication, leadership, and passion for healthcare.
In his new role, Rhett will represent HOSA members across West Tennessee and serve as a leader among future health professionals statewide. Reflecting on this achievement, Rhett shared that he is excited to represent Dyer County and looks forward to the opportunities ahead while continuing to serve alongside his fellow HOSA members.
We are incredibly proud of all our DCHS HOSA students for representing our district with professionalism, leadership, and Choctaw pride. 🧡👏
