🎄 The DCHS Band will host its annual Holiday Mart this Saturday, November 15, from 8:00 AM–3:00 PM in the DCHS Commons and Gym.
Admission is free!
Come shop with over 70 vendors, enjoy multiple food trucks, and enter to win door prizes throughout the day.
Santa will also be available for pictures with children!

🚁 Announcement: Air Evac & DSCC Visit — Wednesday, November 12th
On Wednesday, November 12th, an Air Evac helicopter will be landing in the DCHS auxiliary parking lot after school as part of a special learning experience for our HOSA students.
In addition, Dyersburg State Community College will be on campus showcasing their simulated ambulance, giving students an up-close look at real-world emergency medical technology.
Please note — this is a planned educational event, and there is no cause for concern regarding the helicopter landing or ambulance presence.
We’re excited to provide this unique, hands-on opportunity for our future healthcare professionals! 🧡🤍

College Application Week is September 15–19! 🎓
Seniors, this week is all about you! Mrs. Kelsey Chadwick will be in the library all week to help with college applications, so make sure you stop by for assistance.
We’ll also celebrate with fun dress-up days, and we’d love for all students—freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors—to participate! Dressing up is a great way to show your school spirit and support our seniors as they take this next step.

In addition, the LEO Club is sponsoring Hat Day! For just $1 (paid at the concession stand), students may wear a hat to school. All proceeds go directly to St. Jude, with a school goal of $500.
Wear your team colors, wear your hats, and join us as we stand together in support of childhood cancer awareness.

DCHS Announcements for 2/27/2025

Junior ACT Bootcamp registration is now available in your Class of 2026 Google Classroom. Registration will close on Monday, March 3rd at 3:00 pm.
This week our school will be celebrating Kindness Week. Please take the time out of your day each day this week to be kind.
From now through March 16th, students who register for the April, June, or July ACT will have the opportunity to select a bundle for $99 and get a voucher for a second test anytime through Summer 2026. Have your student check their Google Classroom or you can check with a Guidance Counselor if you have any questions.
March 11th will be an ACT testing day for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. Seniors do not have to report to school on March 11th until 11:20 am due to ACT testing for all underclassmen. Seniors will enter the theater doors on this date NO LATER THAN 11:20 am and check in at the assigned table to be counted as present for the school day. There will be a very important senior meeting held from 11:20-12:00 regarding upcoming events for the remainder of the school year. We will also give away ACT cash rewards for accomplishments made on the ACT senior retake. Lunch and afternoon classes will resume as normal after the meeting. This day is counted as a regular school day and attendance will be taken as students check in at 11:20. Any senior student who rides a bus to school on the morning of March 11th will report to the theater when the 7:53 bell rings.
Lip Sync will be held on March 13th and March 14th. This is for groups, not individuals. Please read the rules before signing up. You can represent a grade, a club, or a team. Grades can have multiple teams. ONLY the group/team leader needs to complete the sign-up form. Information is found in all grade-level Google classrooms or you can email Mrs. Jill.
Yearbooks are still available for sale at yearbooksforever.com - they are now available for $95.
There is an FCA meeting Friday morning at 7:30 in the gym.
Any student who is interested in information regarding submitting artwork for the Annual UT Martin High School Art Exhibit and Competition can pick up info from Mrs. Sanderson in Art room 4002 or Digital Art room 3012. The deadline for the art to be completed and delivered to Mrs. Sanderson or Ms. Uitendaal, is March 12, but you must speak to them and receive info first. The categories are 1) Painting/Mixed Media, 2) Drawing, 3) Printmaking/Photography/Digital, and 4) 3D/Sculpture. Prizes are awarded for each category from high school student art from across the state.
