Daily Announcements Wednesday, April 7th 2021 Congratulations to the DCHS Soccer Team on their win against Gibson County yesterday with a game ending score of 6-4. Goals were made by Juan Garzon, Corey Piskorski, Luke Williams, and a hat trick by Will Steely. Their next game will be tomorrow at Martin Westview at 6 pm. Juniors If you are interested in being on the yearbook staff next year, applications are available in the concession stand at the beginning of each lunch shift. This is only for current juniors. DCHS Football Cheer Tryouts DCHS Football cheer will host tryouts on May 6th and 7th. Applications are found in your grade level Google classroom. HOSA Awards

Congratulations to the Dyer County High School Football Team for advancing to the semi finals of the TSSAA State Playoffs after defeating Henry Co. 31-24. The Choctaws will travel to Summit High School on Friday, November 29th to play a semi final game at 7:00pm. The address for Summit High School is 2830 Twin Lakes Drive, Spring Hill, Tennessee 37174. It’s American Education Week! We are all very fortunate and blessed to work for an amazing school system. It takes all of us working together to ensure our students arrive safely, have a great meal, learn in a safe and clean environment and are surrounded by caring adults. It is a privilege we get to teach and nurture the next generation. Our success comes from the admin, teachers, secretaries, bookkeepers, nurses, educational assistants, cafeteria staff, custodial staff, bus drivers, and maintenance. Congratulations to the Dyer County Choctaws Football Team on winning the second round of the TSSAA state playoffs. The Choctaws will be traveling to Henry County High School for a TSSAA quarterfinal game. The game will be at Henry County High School on Friday, November 22 at 7:00pm. CHOCTAWS WIN!!! Dyer County beats Southwind 34 - 7 to advance to the 3rd round of the TSSAA Playoffs!!!! First 10 win season since 2007!!! Senior Meeting There will be a mandatory senior meeting on Thursday, November 7 at 8:15 in the theater. All seniors will report to their 1st block class and will be released by an announcement to report to the theater. Football Dyer County High School will be hosting a first round TSSAA football playoff game on Friday, November 8. The Dyer County Choctaws will host Kirby High School Cougars. The game time is 7:00pm and the price of admission is $8.00. Come out and support the Choctaws in the first round of the state playoffs. GO CHOCTAWS!!! ACT The next ACT test will be given on Saturday, December 14. The registration deadline for this test is Friday, November 8. Students will register online at http://www.act.org/ Students please refer to your google classroom to see the incentives available for students who take the December test to this announcement. Dual Enrollment & FAFSA Meeting There will be an informational meeting on Monday, November 11th at 5:30 for any student taking a Dual Enrollment course through DSCC next semester. This meeting will cover basic information about classes offered and financial aid for dual enrollment. There will also be some financial aid representatives available for seniors that still need help applying for the FAFSA. Orange Madness Orange Madness will be held at Dyer County High School on Tuesday, November 12th beginning at 5:30 PM. Admission is $3. For the last two Saturdays, they have traveled to Arkansas State University and Paragould High School to compete with over 38 other bands!
