Important Dates: DCHS Freshmen Orientation will be held Tuesday, July 30th from 4:30-5:30PM. Freshmen first day of school will be held Thursday, August 1st from 8-11AM. Upperclassmen can pick up their schedules anytime between 12-3PM on August 1st.

Anyone signed up to take the ACT this Saturday, June 8th, that needs a calculator can come pick one up in room 2004 Friday morning between 8am-Noon. A calculator WILL NOT be available to you the morning of the test if you do not get one Friday! Also, don’t forget your photo ID if you are testing!

Dyer County High School Lady Choctaws Softball defeated Houston HS in the Sectional Tournament today 13-1 and advanced to the state tournament of the the 3rd consecutive year. The Lad Choctaws will play Ooltewah HS on Wednesday, May 22 at 10:00 at Starplex Field #1. The address for the Starplex Softball complex is 2302 Memorial Blvd., Murfreesboro, Tn. 37129. Alexis Fields will be competing in the discus at the State Tournament in Murfreesboro on Thursday, May 23 at 11:00. She will compete at Dean A. Congratulations to the Dyer County Softball Lady Choctaws on winning the 7AAA Regional Championship 5-4 versus Hardin Co. The Lady Choctaws will be back in action on Saturday, May 18 at 2:00 at Dyer County High School Softball Field versus Houston High School in the Sectional Tournament with the winner advancing to the state tournament in Murfreesboro next week. The price of admission for Saturday's sectional game is $7.00. Only passes accepted will be a TSSAA Event Championship card or TACA card. One person will be admitted per card. Please come out and support the Lady Choctaws!!!!!

Daily Announcements May 15, 2019 The Dyer County Lady Choctaws Softball team defeated Arlington High School 7-6 in the 13 AAA Region Semifinals. The Lady Choctaws will travel to Hardin County tonight and play for the 13 AAA Region Championship 5:00 PM. Good luck ladies! Congratulations to the following juniors on their recent accomplishments on March 12 Junior test. We just received the scores for these students. She will compete on Thursday, May 23 at 11:00am in the State Discus competition at Dean A. Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium. We wish Alexis the best!!! All Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors will turn in their chromebook, chargers, and bags on Thursday, May 16th. Please bring these items to school and be prepared to turn them into the Library when you are called. Parking permits for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year may be purchased during the lunch at the concessions stand. Upcoming sophomores and any other upperclassmen who missed their days may purchase them today. You must have your driver’s license and the required form to filled out upon purchase. These permits will be sold ONLY at lunch unless you are purchasing a parking permit for this 2018-2019 school year. NO EXCEPTIONS!!! If you miss these days you may purchase your permit when you come to register for the 2019-2020 school year. Senior walk at the Middle Schools will be May 16th. You must have a signed permission form to attend. Forms are available in the Front Office. Rehearsal for graduation will be immediately following the senior walk. The before/after school tutoring programs last day will be this Friday, May 17th. Detention will still be held in the Library the morning on Tuesday, May 21st. If you have registered to take English Honors or AP Language and Composition, you need to pick up your summer work packet from either Mrs. Greenlee in room 1009 or from Mrs. Cheryl Palmer in the Guidance Office. Summer school will be June 3-June 14. Registration will be May 30th from 1-5 and May 31st 8-12. The cost will be $50 a course and a max of two courses. Daily Announcements May 9, 2019 Seniors: You are encouraged to wear your college or military branch apparel tomorrow for the senior picnic. Please also remember, that you must have a note from a parent in order to checkout from the picnic at 1pm. Seniors: Graduation cords are available to pick up in the Front Office. Seniors: Honors Day will be held Tuesday, May 14th at 1:00 PM. All seniors will sit on the floor. Please check your google classroom and/or with your teachers to see if your name is on the Honors Day list. All parent/guardians of students being honored should have already received a letter notifying them. Students, please stop by Guidance to pick up your letter with details regarding the program. If your name is NOT listed and you think it should be, please see Mrs. Jennifer Ray ASAP! Seniors will turn in their chromebooks on May 14th. Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors will turn in their chromebooks on May 16th. Be sure to bring your laptop, charger, and bag and be ready to turn them in on your specified day.
